Egypt
Saw pricing too good to refuse to Egypt, so why not squeeze in a trip, especially with work from home continuing? Several friends and family had also recently gone, and they all were enthralled by seeing one of the cradles of ancient civilization, which was all the more testament to take advantage of the deal.
Day 1 - lots of flying, including stopping at the newly opened United Polaris lounge at Houston Intercontinential Airport (IAH).
Day 2 - terrific views of the Pyramids at Marriott Mena House after connecting through Frankfurt, Germany (FRA).
Day 3 - the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, and Dahshur.
Day 4 - Luxor, for the Valley of Kings, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temple Complex.
Day 5 - flying back was virtually the reverse of the way there, only via Munich (MUC) instead of Frankfurt.
