Always a good meal at Shunji with Chef Shunji-san or Chef Miki-san. The winter bonito was even better today than the last time, as was the ankimo, and the princess snow crab roe was new-- delicious! Also I never thought I'd praise a fish caught off North Carolina, let alone had one served to me at a Michelin star sushi restaurant, but the akami/chutoro/otoro/negitoro were all superb. And the other diners, several of them raved about the tamago.
Wrapped up with a truffle ice cream I'm not sure about... it's good but truffle ice cream isn't something I normally think of?? In any case, well worth it!
