Blueberry sour.. Pretty decent. Wish I could remember the name!

Buttermilk chicken sandwich. Hit the spot.

Pastrami and jalapeno sandwich at The NeighborHOOD Cafe. Meh.

Gaudy as hell wrap, but one hell of a wrap job.

The old Westside Pavilion mall has been completely transformed.

Sushi at Yen Sushi and Sake Bar is very much low-grade strip mall sushi.

Caught coworkers for lunch at Broxton Brewing. Nice to be back at one of our old haunts! The chicken sandwich made "angry" is still tasty, although it still doesn't live up to the name-- basically zero heat. Can't remember who brewed the blueberry sour, but that definitely hit the spot on a hot day.

Some other random meals later in the week: a terrible sandwich and equally bad bowl of vegetable corned beef soup at The NeighborHOOD Cafe in Beverly Hills, plus some decidedly low-grade-strip-mall sushi from Yen Sushi and Sake Bar. Sad to say but the sandwich would not have been out of place from a cafeteria at work, it was that bad. And Yen Sushi and Sake Bar is clearly on the lower end of strip mall sushi.
