Shunji
Shunji, still operating out of their pop-up location, decided to add a bara chirashi this week. Particularly with hotaru ika (firefly squid) still flowing in from Japan, who could say no?
It may not have been the prettiest bara chirashi out there, but the variety of fish was stunning-- shirauo (ice fish), isaki (grunts), and hotaru ika (sparkling squid or firefly squid) among the highlights!
Menu: ice fish (shirauo), sparking squid (hotaru ika- firefly squid), halibut (hirame), black seabream (kuro dai), bluefin tuna (hon maguro), bluefin medium toro (chutoro), golden eye snapper (kinmedai), grunts (isaki), shrimp (ama ebi kobujime), red snapper (mai da), spanish mackerel (aji), tamago, daikon.
