Back to Chef Junya Yamasaki's new food truck. Instead of curry and a fish katsu sandwich like last time, went for his California spiny lobster combo meal.
Spiny lobster katsu sandwich was superb, with a meaty lobster tail with more flavor than expected. Lobster consomme was tasty but not exciting, and the salad had a tiny hint of spice. Fries, er, chips, were better than last time too-- great compliment.
All tasty but hard to say this was a good value at $45 plus tax and tip, as clearly the bulk of the cost goes for the lobster sandwich, the rest of it is stuff that wouldn't get used (lobster heads for soup) or low cost (salad).
Stuffed as I was... couldn't resist going back for the sashimi salad, which was even more delicious than last time. NOM!
