Superfine Pizza
Celebrating Women-owned restaurants Re:Her from 21-30 January.
Collab with n/naka resulted in a sneaky good seafood pizza. Shrimp and squid normally isn't my idea of a pizza, but after one bite... and one slice... pretty much ate the whole pizza.
Adding the greenies and seaweed at the very end helped more than I expected, too. As did an unwritten step- sopping up a bunch of the moisture a few times in the middle of baking.
Next day, pulled the Casa Verde collab out of the fridge. Enchilada sauce, carne asada, queso, and green chiles, not sure I'd call this conventional, but closer to conventional than a Japanese seafood pizza? Definitely not sneaky good, more of a straight up-pretty-tasty from the outset. The green onion wasn't pretty, but it was a welcome addition.
Verdict: both enjoyable. n/naka's was perhaps more unconventional and something you had to be open to, while Casa Verde's was more broad in its appeal and straightforward in why it was tasty.
