Morning hike to a nearby pair of arches not in a national park-- Corona Arch, just off Bootlegger Canyon and next to Bowtie Arch. Quite a nice little hike, actually, not too hard at all, with a ladder and a cable for the one bit of rock scramble. And we arrived at the right time for the sun to highlight the backside, and to enjoy some perfect silence. Quite possibly the best moment of the trip.
Some mediocre BBQ for lunch, then it was off to Goblin Valley State Park. Wild Horse Butte towered over the park entrance, while the goblins were actually pretty cool, especially given you could literally walk right up to them and fly a drone in-between them. Well worth a stop if you're on the way from Moab to Capitol Reef.
Caught some sun rays on arrival to Capitol Reef National Park, watched a meal go from hopefully tasty (steak) to somewhat disappointing (everything else) at Paizlee's, and realized just how many anti-maskers there were around us. *sigh*
