majordomo
Chef David Chang's majordomo is capable of excellence, and they've done a nice pivot to take-out in this global pandemic.
The pork ribs are tasty, properly cooked, but the rub used is a bit too strong and salty. Best eaten if you scrape off some. Stonefruit salad was pretty good, but not particularly memorable. To be fair, this was probably a dish best eaten immediately, as opposed to sitting on the drive home? Says a lot about the state of BBQ in California, tho, when some of the better American-style BBQ pork ribs are from a Korean chef at an American-Asian restaurant. *grins*
Kim chi is excellent but that's no surprise. The real uncertain bit was the potato salad. The potato salad itself was rather plain, the topping of grilled onions was the main the flavor. I would go so far as to say the grilled onions were essential here; it was that plain otherwise.
They do a ton of other dishes, will have to try them next time, 'cause this meal, while good, seemed short of the dine-in experience I've had here.
