Providence
t'was a little underwhelmed with dine-in at Providence the last time. It's not that they were bad, but they weren't particularly outstanding in any particular way. For a Michelin 1*, merely being excellent is expected, but as Providence is a Michelin 2*, something more should be a requirement.
Take-out during the global pandemic, OTOH, was delicious.
Even smelled good on the drive home, with everything still in boxes. And home, to finish cooking... all tasty! Salmon was excellent, duck salad had the usual skimpy portion of duck (why??), and the succotash nearly stole the show.
Did the pound of smoked salmon too, ate it much of it the next day along with the ton of bread they include with it. Much of the bread was soft and delicious, the little mini-pancake things were solid (not familiar with what they're called), and all the condiments were a perfect addition. Well worth it!
