Hiko and n/naka
Noticed a week or so ago that the taco stands had finally started reopening, and sure enough, here they were! Friggin' delicious, although having to take the burrito home and stick it in the oven to make sure it was sterile was a little annoying. Still, worth the risk!
Next day's lunch from Hiko Sushi. Been years since coming because they have only been open weekday dinner... now with safer-at-home and restaurants doing take-out only, they are now doing lunch and (early) dinner take-out. They made Eater's 2017 best sushi in Los Angeles list, and for a long time they were among the tops in the area... but lately competition has gotten stiffer. They're still very good-- their cooked rolls are perhaps the best I've had in a very, very long time! But in terms of ultimate quality, they are now exceeded by several others, particular Masukazu, Sushi Tsujita, and Shunji.
Next day was more n/naka! Lucked out after a nerve-wracking 20 minutes of frantic refreshing this past weekend. The menu is changed slightly from last time, now with waygu meatballs. NOM!!!
