Atlanta
Woke up to a glorious dawn on final approach to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) outside of Washington, DC. Noticed a few more masks here than at LAX last night, then a quick flight down to ATL. Picked up the rental car, went straight to the hotel to shower and get into fresh clothes (aka: taking precautions), then off to meet up with Rob and Ryan. Well, with a brief stop by the CDC too, just because it was on the way.
Crave Pie Studio's Duluth location unfortunately had a fire next door and is closed; their temporary food truck doesn't have a full menu, but the chocolate chess pie is very good-- as someone who's not normally a fan of chocolate chess, this was surprising! Then we hung out at Truck and Tap, where their selection of local craft beers, including some tasty sours and IPAs, is worth the time.
Dinner was at Breakers Korean BBQ. Doesn't compare to LA, but then not many places do. Sounded like Ryan was unfamiliar with it, so this was a nice change of pace. t'was good to see old school car geek friends-- and thanks Rob for picking up the parts for me!
