Fooding
Weekend fooding roundup begins with Saturday in Culver City. La Esquina is a pretty decent Mexican place, especially if you want seafood. However with all the food stands popping up-- some of which are excellent-- it's hard to justify a detour here unless you already live in the area. That said, something about this place, especially sitting on a table at the edge of the parking lot, feels just right?
A few blocks away at Platform LA is the infamous Boba Guys. For gourmet, organic, all-natural milk tea... they are definitely worth the trek.
Sunday's fooding was at Phantom Carriage Brewery in Gardena. Decidedly unassuming exterior with a themed interior, and their Broadacres Berliner Weisse (sours) are delicious. Both the regular and the black currant-- YUM. The Ploughman's Lunch is sized for two; tackling it by myself, I nearly exploded from all the meat and cheese.
