Hong Kong: Thanksgiving 2019
Started the day at Tim Ho Wan for their famous char shu bao. The North Point location does not do food as pretty as the others, but it's still a solid meal.
Met up with Petula for lunch at SENSU, then she recommended Sam and I try Mountain Chicken Wings for a follow up snack. Rose flavor was interesting, not sure I'd order it again, but the wings themselves were generous in size and perfectly cooked.
Caught up with Sam's friend Ada for dinner at Yat Lok. For a Michelin 1* place, it was underwhelming. Roast goose and char shu were adequate, even good, but a Michelin star implies exceptional, and this wasn't. Wandered up to Tai Kwun after to explore. As it's (literally) the former central police station, it's quite historic. The Tai Kwun Contemporary Museum is well done, too. Well worth a stop if you're passing through Central.
Wrapped things up with the always-excellent desserts at Kai Kai Dessert in Mong Kok. Nom!
