Hitting a local taco stand for dinner-- the al pastor and the buche are legit. A few days later, did dinner with fellow Geography dorks at Boiling Crab. Kristina was craving and KT was happy to go come out and see her fellow new mom!
Did breakfast the next day with Vogel Photography at Teddy's Cafe. It's a legit local greasy spoon with super affordable prices. Not sure I'd make a special trip, but if in the area, it's a solid option. Caught the HumTech holiday party later that day, which had board games and VR, plus a ton of food and schmoozing. Was great to see our colleagues from the humanities side, and super nice of them to invite us!
Final photos are from Geography staff holiday lunch/Michelle's retirement party at Duke's Malibu. Spent a few minutes outside to admire some other customer's tribute to excess, a Lamborghini Urus, until everyone else showed up. Then had a pleasant lunch semi-coast-side celebrating the holidays and the fact that one of us survived to retirement!
