San Marino: September 2019
One of the few countries in Western and Central Europe that neither Sam nor I had been to, so we decided it was time to fix that. With no direct train service and no airport, getting to San Marino is accomplished by flying into one of many nearby Italian cities, in this case Bologna. Made for a good opportunity to see one of the food capitals of Italy as well on the way in and out.
Sadly, despite the presence of a Tesla Model 3 as a taxi cab and a pair of Lamborghinis on display at the airport, this trip was actually entirely devoid of interesting cars afterwards. Was very happy the dinky Fiat 500 rental fit in Bologna's tiny parking spaces on the last day!
Days 1 and 2 - flying. Some poor bits and some good bits, as usual.
Day 3 - A lot of Italian countryside and Italian motorways, the beautiful mountain country of San Marino, and a terrible Michelin 1*.
Day 4 - Exploring Bologna before flying back. Plus a bonus sunset on return to the USA.
