Porsche Experience Center
Very appropriate post-Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) lunch of all you can eat shabu shabu at Shin Sen Gumi Shabu Shabu. When you're starving after hours in the hot sun, nothing like an endless supply of beef and pork, plus a cold beer to wash it all down.
The nearby Porsche Experience Center doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's an intense experience inside. A distillation of Porsche history, a Porsche Motorsports center, and multiple driving tracks, including a surprisingly decent looking road course, an off-road course, and several effective looking car control courses. All crammed into a tiny plot of land right off the freeway! Obviously better to drive it if you have the coin, but if not, the browsing around inside as we did is free and well worth a stop.
Some random LA sightseeing afterwawrds. Justin wanted to prove he didn't get mugged on a street corner near Kindle's Donuts (one of five OG giant donuts built in LA-- Randy's Donuts near LAX is the best known one), then we did a quick wander past SpaceX and The Boring Company. Falcon 9 booster B1019 stands on proud display!
Wrapped things up with ramen for dinner at Daikokuya. Morita Kinshachi IPA was pretty forgettable, but the food was decent enough as always. Made a stop afterwards at Blackbeard's Crafts, where the microbrew selection was interesting enough to impress even Mr. McBee.
