London: August 2019
Fooding begins with a top-notch fish and chips at Bonnie Gull, complete with Bloody Mary w/oyster.
Then off to the National Maritime Museum for their night astronomy photography exhibit. Some amazing work by amateur photographers over the past few years, from skilled landscapes that I could maaaybe see pulling off to some sufficiently exotic and talented work that look almost like NASA or a real observatory would be required to do!
Dinner at The Ninth was delicious, lead off by the pork belly and the salted beef cheek. Nom nom nom! Ceps, fregola, and crispy challots might actually have stolen the show. Main courses of roast duck and turbot were also nom-worthy, while the pain perdu was a rich, delicious custard. So tasty, but almost too rich and and too generous a portion for its own good.
Somewhere in there, stopped by the entirely adequate arrivals lounge at Terminal 2, and also Sam's new office at WeWork. Kind of a cool space, but holy cow they pack you in tight- peak hours have to be crazy!
