July 2019: Day 1: Airports and airplanes

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, Terminal 6, LAX.

Not the biggest, and a bit deficient in power outlets, but nice enough.

Food was typical US domestic lounge food, kind of sad.

Chicken noodle soup.

Looking west towards Terminal 5.

With their 737 MAX's grounded, the old Airbus fleet is it.

Arrival at YYC... time to hit the bar??

Decided to brave the airport on Independence Day-- turns out the airport wasn't that crazy after all... everyone was too busy celebrating Fourth of July? Ideally the flight would've been a few hours later so an aerial view of fireworks up and down the coast would have been possible, but things did not work out that way. :(

Flight was uneventful at least, aside from the meal being so bad it was burned and inedible (yay Air Canada?). The old Airbus fleet badly needs an update, can't wait for their new 737 MAX's to be back to flying, with their much more modern cabins. Maybe Boeing will get their act together soon?
