Andrew and TiffA
Arrived a day early to catch up with friends before Trandrew and TiffA's wedding. Justin chose Tamarine in Palo Alto, which was surprisingly good for a high-end Vietnamese restaurant.
Cocktails had just enough of a twist to be innovative, a slightly smoky lychee as an example. Taro egg rolls were quality but completely unremarkable, while the sea bass, shaken beef, broccoli, and Tamarine shrimp were all quite tasty. Garlic noodle was solid by reasonable standards but a bit short of the rest.
The chocolate-dipped waffle cones at Scoops were perfectly decent, and after dessert, it was time to call it a night!
Oh yes, can't forget-- had another semi-random encounter with the Lai-Lu family; they were heading into Los Angeles as I was flying out! Caught a quick lunch with them at KC's Crepes... holy cow, Mason is getting big!
