Pennsylvania
Short weekend in Pennsylvania for Cousin Christian's graduation from Franklin and Marshall. Even quicker flight via an old American Airlines Airbus A321 to Philadelphia.
Finding ramen at Terminal 5 was a nice change from the crap in Terminals 7 and 8, although it wasn't anything special. And the flight, while smooth and efficient enough, was a bit bereft of mid-flight service. Plus American managed to retrofit new slimline seats with fixed headrests (boooo) and no power outlets (WTF??), yet retain the old armrests that still teased you with IFE controls. Making the flight attendants hock credit card brochures to you as you deplaned was further bizarre (hell, it seemed pretty depressing for the poor FA who had to stand there :( ).
The Philadelphia Airport Marriott is well taken care of for an established hotel, and is definitely comfortable enough, although the bar food is both unhealthy and ridiculously expensive.
