Washington, DC: April 2019
Wrapped up the previous day with a trip to the grocery store, since two days of conference hotel food was getting tiring. Skipped the horrible looking vegan cup noodle and stuck to Maruchan, which turned out to have a great secondary use- reheating the leftover pork belly from Federalist Pig. Ended up being quite good the next day, although sadly the short rib did not improve.
At the end of the day's sessions, hit the expo on the way out and saw Dr. Wesley Reisser's new book, Energy Resources: From Science to Society. Fancy!
Then caught up with Matt and Becca for dinner. Jack Rose has an expansive whisky collection-dare I say it's one of the biggest I've ever seen? Sadly we did not have reservations, so dinner ended up at The Grill From Ipanema. Can't complain about piles of Brazilian food!
