Washington, DC: April 2019
American Association of Geographers (AAG)'s Annual Meeting, held this year in Washington, DC. Great timing too, got to enjoy the cherry blossoms as well- right about at peak bloom!
Managed to squeeze in some family time after the conference as well, plus some geeking out on cars at the Washington Auto Show (great plan, Cousin Matt!).
Day 1 - Arrival in Washington DC and the UCLA Party at Misson Dupont, plus a quick look at the cherry blossoms.
Day 2 - Sunrise over the Tidal Basin for the cherry blossoms, all day at the AAG conference, and BBQ at Federalist Pig.
Day 3 - Sick of conference food but stuck at a conference, then a late family dinner in Adams Morgan at Jack Rose and The Grill From Ipanema.
Day 4 - Playing tourist with Dr. Grant, then more family and friends, including a stop at the Washington Auto Show.
Day 5 - The sights and tastes flying across the country.
