Breakfast at John O'Groats to start the day, then Leif's birthday dinner at Five Crowns that night.

For a straightforward order of French toast, bacon, and eggs, O'Groats is pretty good. They'll never win any awards for such simple food, but they've got zero pretense to go with their delicious biscuits.

Many hours later, Leif-Eric's 40th milestone. Family celebration became a surprise with lots of friends in attendance! His sister did a great job with his birthday, and Five Crowns' enclosed patio was a great space for the group. Can't complain about the food either- prime rib and filet mignon were all favorites.
