Day 7: Back to Cape Town

Super old school cereal tins!

Breakfast before hitting the road.

Morning means a full load of meat pies at Moose McGregor's Bakery.

From the deli counter at Shoprite supermarket in Rehoboth.

Oshoto Lounge bar area. Not as sad as the main seating area, but that's not saying much.

I think photographing sunsets was one of Sam's favorite activities on the trip.

Springbok for dinner. Very much like beef.

There's a salad buried under there somewhere.

Not quite empty on a Sunday night, but close.

Back to Windhoek, some lousy supermarket deli food for lunch, and back to the Roof of Africa Hotel. Then a much, much shorter ride to the airport, and a quick two hour plane flight back to Cape Town.

The sun went down just before Namibia-South Africa border-- t'was a lovely sight from 37,000 feet! An uneventful night landing at CPT, then a dinner of springbok, salad, and Thai shrimp at Beluga back in Cape Town proper. Was a quality meal, although a bit underwhelming... although to be fair, everyone else at the restaurant was ordering sushi, so meat might have been the wrong choice!

Oh yes, can't forget to mention that Protea Victoria Junction issued another room upgrade. "Loft apartment" again for the price of a standard room? Score! (and yes, free rollaway bed for Sam :-P )
