and The San Franciscan

Checking out the Astro Doughnuts food truck.

Menu looks almost like the store.

Biscuit was not as good as the store... maybe it dried out a bit?

Fried chicken BLT on a savory donut. Pretty good but not mind blowing.

Time for a glass of wine at The San Franciscan.

Huge salad. And a lot of zucchini sticks.

Prime rib, 16oz, medium rare.

Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken food truck made a stop in Westwood. Probably not worth the money, but the fried chicken BLT with a savory donut isn't bad, and the donut of the month, banana guava, was decent if you like very sweet donuts. Fortunately or unfortunately, the actual shop (in DTLA, or in DC) is probably better than the truck, although surprisingly, the PB&J donut travels quite well, better than the biscuit!

Dinner many hours later at The San Franciscan. Managed to just miss karaoke night, and instead went with a massive amount of salad to go with the 16oz prime rib. No pretense, no style, and no fuss here, but sometimes that's what you need!
