Mike and Danny got a huge group together to hike Mt. Baldy (Mt. San Antonio)! So big we split into 4 groups on the way up. Jerry and I played sweeper on the way up to make sure no one got lost; result was about 5 hours to go the 3.8 miles/~3,900' of elevation gain up from Manker Flat via Baldy Bowl and the Sierra Club ski hut, and just a smidgen over an hour back down (~2.8 miles/~2,300' elevation loss) via Devils Backbone to the top of the ski lift.

Took lots of breaks but managed to get the whole group up in one piece without too much complaining. The youngin's ran around the top a bunch, while Patrick and Bethany got to the top and pretty much zonked out... the rest of us were pretty in-between? :-P

Everyone had a great time, and we had tons of food. Tea eggs, cheetos, and of course, Bethany brought FBOMBS.

Planned lunch turned more into an early dinner due to our relaxed pace. Shabu shabu at Jazz Cat was swiftly devoured, quite a few more coworkers dropped in at Jazz Cat to join the tired and sweaty hikers, then it was time for pearl tea at Half and Half before the group parted ways.
