Israel: May 2018
Took the bus from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv in the morning. Turns out the beautiful bridge we saw on the way in to Jerusalem is adjacent to the bus and train station, although it's much prettier at night! We found the bus to be affordable and efficient, definitely more relaxing than driving.
We then took advantage of another free 2 hour walking tour after arriving in Tel Aviv, this time of the ancient port of Jaffa. Much smaller than the old city of Jerusalem, our guide this time was also much more of a storyteller. Not quite sure as much of the history got across, but it was a decent introduction Jaffa's history, particularly the marina area.
Wandered Tel Aviv afterwards, taking the bus from the run-down fashion district to the decidedly more hipster areas. Walked plenty as well, just to take it all in. Had a delicious meal of shawarma, kebab, and falafel at HaKosem-- I'd say we would definitely go back, except that Tel Aviv has so many tasty looking places to try that we'd need multiple stomachs!
Wrapped things up with a quick train ride to the airport, the mediocre Dan+ Lounge, and the much more pleasant terminal.
