New Orleans
Visiting Honey Island Swamp with Pearl River Ecotours. Not sure how different they are than any of their competitors (smaller?), but a great ride around the bayou. Raccoons, birds, swamp pigs, turtles, and yes, alligators! Being cold-blooded, afternoon is better for alligator sightings, but there was one 11 footer already awake (lucked out!).
Marshmallows are apparently universal foods too, animals and humans alike.
So-so lunch at Gallier, and a much, much better dinner at Seaworthy. Solid seafood roll ("Seaworthy Roll"), a wide selection of oysters, and a nice patio to enjoy dinner while talking about Geography with Professor Ashraf and Dr. Grant. Seats inside looked to have an entirely different atmosphere-- traditional oyster bar-- so next time, might have to sit inside!
A decent but overrated dessert at meril (go for drinks, not dessert!), and the off to the UCLA AAG Party at Palace Cafe.
