U2
The Joshua Tree Tour doesn't seem to be quite as crazy with the amount of shows as some of U2's previous tours. Only two LA shows a few months ago, and one in San Diego were about it for SoCal. The tradition of just okay openers continues, although Beck was perhaps better than average?
Set was very similar to the LA show. The four-song intro of Sunday Bloody Sunday/New Year's Day/Bad/Pride always goes over well with me! with Beautiful Day stood out particularly well this time around. The new song, You're the Best Thing About Me was done acoustically-- not sure how I feel about it, but acoustic did sound better than the version released on Youtube?
Main issue of the night was the horrid San Diego crowd. People kept wanting to pick fights and get in each other's business... holy crap, can I just enjoy the show?!?! I won't even get into the fact that most of the crowd didn't seem to know the stuff from Joshua Tree-- Vertigo got the biggest response from the crowd. o_0
