Seattle
Promising but disappointing croissants at Cafe Besalu, then a solid Creole lunch at a very classy Toulouse Petit.
Behaved like tourists at the Museum of Pop Culture, focusing on music, the Star Trek exhibit, and of course, the Muppets! Took the monorail over to Pike Place Market, had some surprisingly good char shu bao from a tourist trap, and visited the oldest standing Starbucks.
Dinner was at Honey Court. Mostly solid Cantonese food, especially the pea leaves, pei dan sau yuk jook, and the beef tripe (nom!), although the Szechuan clay pot was terrible (it was clearly a decent Cantonese clay pot, not Szechuan...) and the won ton soup was merely average.
Wrapped up the night in Ballard, with an amazing peanut butter shake and an only slightly less delicious molten chocolate cake. The s'mores, which was incredibly huge, sadly was the most disappointing item of the night (!).
