Fooding
Been a while since a proper 626 food outing. Shi Hai became World Seafood after a short closure... sadly the same tight parking situation remains, and the food is merely average, which means it's not worth the tight parking. Christine knew of the super secret parking spot not too far away, but neither Chris nor I had any idea!
Beef ball, lo mai gai, beef tripe, pai gut, har gow, shu mai, har cheung fun were all decent or better, the pork bloody tasted strongly of iron, and as usual, xiao long bao were awful. At least our follow-up stop at Half and Half revealed new cups that actually fit in cupholders! (plus Half and Half's milk tea is always delicious!)
Board games in the afternoon-- Stone Age reminds me of a more simple resource/production game in the vein of Agricola, and is quite good. Mysterium, OTOH, was much more abstract than I expected-- probably needs another play-through for a proper evaluation.
Late dinner at Tsujita LA, for always nom-worthy tsukumen. t'was good to catch up since it'd been a while since I'd met up with Kim and her husband Michael!
