Roberta's Pizza
Messed up and got to the Santa Monica Farmer's Market later than I should have. Frogs Bakery croissant might be good, but after 12 noon they've sat outdoors so long they're pretty so-so at best, and some are rather gross looking (ham and cheese in particular). Can't give them a proper evaluation as a result.
Dinner was the last day of Roberta's Pizza Pop-Up at Platform in Culver City. It was literally under the tracks in Culver City, on a dirt lot with hideously expensive hipster pizzas and pretty decent wait-- but the pizza was pretty damned good. t'was definitely worth the visit, as it was a hell of a lot cheaper than flying to New York and making it out Brooklyn!
Since the pizza was so small, grabbed ice cream at Van Leeuwen (also at Platform) for dessert. Hazelnut caramel brownie was pretty good, but in the land of a zillion artisian small batch ice creams, it's hard to say it stood out at all.
