Myanmar (Burma): January 2017
As the two meals before and this breakfast made obvious, we were definitely going to be well fed on this trip! Sure, it's not a 5* star hotel, but it sure beat the hotel options from the day before-- and all this out of the modest kitchen on the boat!
After the morning's swim and breakfast, off to 115 Island, where we did a little tiny jungle hike to the opposite shore, and some beautiful, clear turqoise water. All of the water we'd seen so far in the Andaman Sea was shades of green, so to finally seem some blue was a pleasant sight. The crew then took us via dinghy into a sea cave on 115, which was also pretty cool-- and unexpected! I guess being land-lovers, we forget that the oceans and coasts have caves, too!
Afternoon sail to Nyaung Wee for the night, which was a pleasant stay-- and we unexpectedly ran into the other Intrepid boat that runs a very similar route-- another catamaran, the Similie. Very cool way to end the night, particularly when one looked around the whole horizon, and saw the green lights of squid boats across half of it.
