Hong Kong: November 2016
Kinda messed up the food planning-- was thinking about hitting up Lung Hing Keen, Shang Palace, or T'ang Court-- but I didn't realize they only do lunch (not brunch!) hours for dim sum. DOH! :-(
Hit Tim Ho Wan instead since I already had lunch plans with Petula at Tai Ping Koon-- customary excellent dim sum at the most affordable Michelin star rated place around, and definitely best first thing in the morning. Then off to Eslite Bookstore and some other places for shopping before lunch. Flavors at lunch were a little strong, but the food was still good and the decor classic Hong Kong. Plus you gotta splurge for the souffle!
Caught Mom and Dad afterwards, the usual wandering, and then dinner at Dragon Plaza Premium Hot Pot with family friends. They went waaaay overboard with lobster, crab, scallops, roast pork, roast goose, and sashimi. Crab was superb, I think we all waddled out of there!
