Top: dark chocolate, ?, cookies n cream, nutella, coconut. Bottom: caramel crunch, almond, mint chip, espresso, passionfruit.

Ginger ice cream was very good. Faloodeh too.

Very high turnover-- several groups came in and out in the span of 15 minutes.

One ugly storefront tho.

Beef kebab at Javan was way too salty.

The local Starbucks is super nice.

Ophelia PWNED everyone else in Splendor.

We have a Simon!

Hanging out with Kim meant a trip for Persian food-- some very good ginger ice cream and faloodeh at Saffron and Rose, then dinner after dessert at Javan. Same excellent service at Javan, but this time the chengeh kebab (marinated beef tenderloin) was a bit too salty. :-/ t'was great to see Kim before she and Michael get married in a few weeks!

Had second dinner planned with Simon and the Konami/ex-Konami group, but there was a long wait as Simon's flight was delayed repeatedly. Made it a nice break-- met up with Sue and Ophelia, where Ophelia kicked our butts in Splendor. (she got all four nobles! DAMN!)

Finally, well past Matt's bedtime, Simon arrived and the whole group nom'ed away at Jidai-ya in Torrance, on a delicious meal of gyoza, ramen, and sashimi. Nom!
