Chicken cartilage. Some of us nom'ed away, most were not fans.

Agedashi tofu. Yum!

Beef tongue. A bit too chewy.

Shisito peppers. Pretty solid.

Veggie and mushroom skewers.

I'm not the only one who takes pictures of food.

Bacon-wrapped asparagus.

Chicken meatballs.

Chicken thighs and green onion, and beef... sirloin was it? Good but a bit too thick-cut.

Tempura. Yum! But a lot of places do good tempura. (and even more screw it up...)

Chicken neck and tails. Chicken tails FTW.

Chicken livers. Very rich, if you liked liver you were a fan, if not... not so much.

B Sweet was nearly empty when we came in, they got crushed 5 minutes after we arrived.

Catching Pearl, Steph, and Pearl's coworkers for a quick dinner and dessert trip to Sawtelle before they had to go back to their business trip.

Nanbankan used to be pretty solid, but we weren't as impressed this time around. The beef tongue was a bit chewier than expected and while some of us nom'ed away on the chicken cartilage, others did not seem as impressed. Bacon-wrapped okra wasn't bad, but the bacon-wrapped asparagus wasn't as good, nor were the chicken meatballs. Shisto peppers, chicken thighs with green onion, and chicken tails were all pretty solid, but it all fell short of amazing.

Shifted to B Sweet after, where we beat a massive crowd by about 5 minutes. Ube ice cream filled donut and some other ridiculous noms abounded. Sluttiest brownie, some salted caramel craziness, the usual (!). I passed on everything myself, as I really didn't need a half pound of dessert!
