Clover Ave Food Trucks
Clover Ave. Elementary School's food truck night was packed, with the Street Kitchen Tacos truck getting most of the attention. The Greasy Weiner and Mandoline Grill were mostly unloved, there was a 4th truck I'm forgetting...
Mandoline Grill did a so-so pork taco, which was necessary because both the line to order and the line to pick up your food was about 856 hours long for Street Kitchen Tacos. They must've had a huge backup at the deep fryer or something plus some large orders, plus they looked understaffed.
Aside from being slow, they were also stupid expensive. No prices on the menus, but quickly became apparent items were all $10+; my $15 (!) filet mignon quesdilla was loaded with beef and cheese, but not so much on flavor. And it sure as heck wasn't worth $15 or that kind of wait. Felt like I could've eaten something else (hence the taco), but I sure as heck wasn't going to spend $25 or $30 for so-so food at one truck!
