Din Tai Fung seems to lose something when served outside of hot, humid places (or merely hot) such as Taiwan or even Arcadia. Or maybe the A/C inside shopping malls in the USA means your food cools off too fast?

Xiao long bao were still excellent, chicken and rice cakes were solid, it was the cold cucumber (not cut quite as nicely) and the green beans (not enough flavor?!) that seemed a little off. Still, nice to have more DTF locations these days, even if they are super crowded-- we showed up early enough to beat the dinner rush at least!
