Mendocino Farms and Smitten Ice Cream

Quite hipster.

Very hipster, take two.

Obviously a modern take on a "farm."

Puck's soda... not as good as some others. Felt like 80% soda as far as sweetness.

Fancy pulled pork. Only about 3/4ths had meat in it.

Peruvian steak sandwich. Not bad, but the pork belly banh mi is definitely the way to go.

Smitten Ice Cream's menu. Ritzy.

Cookie dough with pretzels. Nice bit of salty contrast.

Warm winter nights.

Ice cream is popular even in February.

Caught Alicia for dinner, randomly visited The Plaza in El Segundo for dinner since neither of us had been.

Turned out to be pretty hipster; the pulled pork was a bit too fancy at Mendocino Farms and the Peruvian steak sandwich wasn't as good as the pork belly banh mi. t'was still good to catch up tho!

Hit Smitten Ice Cream on the way out; the cookie dough with pretzel was actually pretty interesting, the salty bit of pretzel wouldn't be a contrast I would think of but it was very good. 3 little tiny scoops added up to a decent sized cup at least, but it definitely wasn't cheap.
