Aki Restaurant
The decor and menus inside Aki probably haven't been touched since the 1980s... it's a quaint old school Japanese-American restaurant experience on a busy stretch of Santa Monica Blvd.
From the combination meals to the very straightforward sushi menu, the classic pickled vegetables as appetizers, and to the older staff-- very OG.
Food is pretty decent, maybe even good, but due to the location it's definitely not cheap, although it's not too expensive either. Probably worth the amusement for the occasional throwback visit more than the food to be honest.
