Pacific Crest Trail
Finished off the hot dogs for breakfast, packed up, and off to Humber Park. Quick 2 mile hike up Devils Slide (along with a crowd of day hikers from Meetup) that catches the PCT at mile 179.4. Ran into one thru-hiker further up too, with the wild look in his eyes like he'd been on the trail for over a thousand miles!
Terrain is very pretty on the south side, then we cut up to Fuller Ridge and became camels-- last water on trail was North Fork San Jacinto River, where we loaded up on 2 gallons plus of water-- and did another 7 miles to the campsite. The kicker was, the Fuller Ridge Campground actually has a road, we could've driven up and cached water. DOH.
Would've been a beautiful hike most of the way, but crushed with so much water, the second half of the hike was definitely a slog, ending in some beautiful moonlight.
