Denver
Late night arrival into Denver International Aiport, even later snack of lousy Burger King French Fries, and a long drive back to the Luk's where we were staying.
Started off with a wonderful breakfast, then off to the Wings Over the Rockies air and space museum. Smaller than many, yet still large enough to have a focused collection of military aircraft and armaments, with an uncommon emphasis on nuclear ones, plus a few awesome sci-fi touches.
Biker Jim's in downtown Denver for some excellent hot dogs with unusual toppings afterwards. I admit many fancy brats taste very similar, but the pheasant and rattlensake was still worth the effort, as was the cactus topping.
Dinner at Zucca in downtown Louisville, a surprisingly hipster little place. Very good handmade pastas and even better duck, although next time I'll skip the lamb. Sweet Cow for some very, very good ice cream for dessert. Not sure what's up with all the good ice cream shops popping up all over lately, but Sweet Cow was definitely worth the wait! Not as creamy as Gunther's but the flavors were perhaps even better balanced. NOM.
