Salmon and ahi tuna. Decent.

Chengdu Taste.

Noodles. Mmmm.

Ok, now we're getting spicy.

Fish was delicious-- and not that spicy.

Dan dan noodles... no burn the first five bites, then WOAH.

Beef was NOM.

The best dishes so far. Beef, fish, dan dan noodles.

Eggplant was good but a little bland compared to the rest.

Toothpick lamb was superb and not that spicy.

Ice Que.

Orange is the New Black in the very front, two Blueberry Pie, I forget the 4th one.

Had a Groupon for poke at Big Daddy's Poke Shack in Venice. Aside from parking always being a nightmare and the poke itself only being so-so to average, well, yeah, the friendly staff helped, but aside from that... meh.

Dinner at Chengdu Taste with Andrew and his friends, plus Sue, Ophelia, and Chris. Bit of a wait as expected, but the very, very spicy Sichuan food was worth the wait. Beef, the fish soup, and the toothpick lamb were all excellent. Dan dan mein had a great, delayed, slow burn if you could handle the spice, while the two other noodles were also pretty good-- mung bean noodle was also fairly spicy. If you like Sichuan-style it's definitely recommended, as they have just enough variety to be worth the trouble.

Mouths on fire, we went to Ice Que afterwards to cool things off. Excellent, innovative shaved snow as always-- the blueberry pie was very popular, the horchata is always good (plain shaved ice is a nice contrast to the sweet!), and the Orange is the new Black is surprisingly tasty.
