NOM NOM
Another full day of eating! Lucky Noodle King for Sichuan food (superb dan dan mein), Yoma Myanmar (Burmese), and then after a few hours' break, Addiction Bistro (German-ish).
Excellent dan dan noodles, pork intestine, mapo tofu, and some great lamb at Lucky Noodle King. Beef tendon noodle was only okay though, cold cucumber was similar, and the won tons were sub-par. We had the constantly expanding group, eventually ended up with ten people-- which was good, considering how much food we ordered!
Rick then lead us to Yoma Myanmar for Burmese food, his latest addiction. We had the NOM NOM NOM tea leaf salad, some yummy almond jelly, and the faluda, which was a little weird (powdered coconut or something). Both were little holes in the wall, but capable of such delicious things!
Addiction Bistro for dinner. They advertise as everything gluten-free, but reality was in the fine print-- cost extra for GF-buns and pasta! Lawsuit waiting to happen, eek. Meatballs weren't bad, neither were the fries. Bratwursts were so-so, fried chicken was kinda meh, salad was clearly from a bag, but the burger was very good (but the "bacon" was real bacon bits as opposed to actual strips of bacon, weird...). The blueberry crumble was excellent at least-- nice end to what was otherwise a decidedly forgettable meal.
