UCLA and Boiling Crab

Early dinner at Boiling Crab in Westwood to beat the crowds. Even during Spring Break, it had a line out the door by 6:15pm!

Boiling Crab is half massive amounts of decent seafood, half spectacle. The raw oysters aren't the specialty, but they're still pretty okay for a place you wouldn't expect good raw oysters from. Cajun fries are solid, sweet potato fries are a little bland, and the whole shebang mild shrimp are excellent. Add in some corn and some mussels for variety and it's a pretty good meal.

Just be aware they're inconsistent, some batches seem to marinate longer and are tastier, others aren't as good-- even in the same meal!
