Angelini Osteria
One of Jonathan Gold's 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles for a reason: unexpectedly modest, traditional-yet-modern decor, and truly superb food.
A delightful fish bisque and two kinds of bread to start the meal, then we progressed to a moderately fancy salad that was a refreshing lead-in to the main courses. Lasanga looked massive, while the uni pasta was amazing. Al dente, a wonderful blend of flavors throughout the whole dish, and of course, the uni mixed in as well garnished topped it off.
Clearly lots of regulars at Angelini Osteria, and obviously for good reason: with food this good, why not come back on a regular basis? Add in a warm spring day and outdoor tables for good measure!
