Fogo de Chao
Third and final restaurant for dineLA Restaurant Week's January 2015 take: Fogo de Chao.
Gathered up a bunch of the work crew and headed over. Seems like the dineLA menu gets a little worse every year-- for example, no lamb chops this time around for dineLA customers-- but the food is still excellent, down to the tons of house special pichana that Jarett, Mike, Bernard, Tim, Jerry, Barnaby, and all of us devour by the skewer.
It's not as frightening a sight as the chicken heart massacres at M Grill, but it's equally ridiculous. Add in a few large helpings of chimichurri, an unhealthy amout of cheese rolls, lots of bottom sirloin, top sirloin, leg of lamb, pork loin, and many other meats... then top it off with the giant asparagus, various cheeses, smoked meats and smoked salmon, and bacon at the salad bar...
Delicious. And always good to meet up with the group and splurge once in a while, although I think next time we'll stick to Korean BBQ or something else more affordable. Not to mention slightly less likely to give us all heart attacks. *grins*
