Dim sum
End of an all-dim-sum weekend!
Yes, perhaps an all-dim-sum diet is not the best idea... but it sure was tasty!
NBC Seafood is a decidedly more midrange experience than Lunasia, and even though you could taste the MSG in a few dishes (particularly the shu mai), oddly the food was much better. Lo bac guo quality was almost as good-- and in fact, tasted better as it was served fresh off the frying cart. Ditto for the dan tat, which were served fresh and piping hot! Beef tripe and chicken feet were both excellent today, and the sweet sesame ball was quite good. Pork blood and the deep fried shrimp ball were both very decent.
Wrapped things up with a second round of har gow and shu mai (mmmmmmmm...), some gai lan, and a bunch of har cheung fun and beef cheung fun; the latter three weren't pretty-- in fact they were average at best-- but just as good as Lunasia in terms of taste.
Next door to the brand-new Coffee Zone for pearl tea. They have a colorfully done outdoor area and perfectly average milk tea, but they literally were next door, so hard to beat the convenience! Frances, Patrick, and the rest of the group took over pretty much the whole area, too.
