Dim sum
Start of an all-dim-sum weekend! Lunasia had absolutely no parking this morning, spent a fair amount of time waiting outside in the cold with Kristina, Mara, and Angela, but in the end we finally got seated, and the food was quite decent.
Deep fried/breaded radish cheung fun were pretty good (although still not quite sure what they tasted like), regular har cheung fun were average, the deep fried pork ball was excellent if a tad too greasy, the scallop-roll-deep-fried thing was a little... different.
Lo bac guo were almost excellent-- a tad too greasy and weren't served nearly hot/crispy enough. The bean curd thing was also done weird-- almost too much meat, not enough veggie, and it came in a bowl of its own broth? That was a first. To be honest, most was pretty good but not perfect, and the only real weakness was the green beans, which were pretty bland. That and they completely missed our order for steamed tripe. =( t'was definitely worth the return visit, although it's hard to say if it was worth the wait and the extra cost over some of the cheaper places.
The Big Brother Truck was randomly found later. Not quite dim sum, but close. A pork sandwich for $3.50 was surprisingly decent (yet not so great), plus they had a $5.00 bowl of won tons. Literally some bland broth and a pretty generous number of won tons. Sadly they were pretty so-so won tons, too.
Finally, Cards Against Humanity: Holiday Bullshit arrived. And to no one's surprise, it was actually... sh**!
