Granville Cafe
Dinner with the Hollons, Sophia, Carley, and Sue at Granville Cafe. Think of it as a local restaurant version of Cheesecake Factory, only with more emphasis on healthy cooking. t'was quite good actually, with sweet potato fries, salmon and mashed potatoes, pastas, and a pastrami burger... although I wasn't quite sure what to make of the lobster bisque.
First time meeting Baby Teddy for Sophia and Sue-- he's a cutie! And apparently Kevin is already learning to eat with one hand, and ordering appropriate dishes. *grins*
Wandered to Sawtelle on the way home, trying out the new MJ Cafe Express for pearl tea, mango slush, and popcorn chicken. Pearl tea seemed decent, mango tea wasn't bad, and they use the same gigantic cups as Half & Half, so the drinks are huge. Popcorn chicken (made with potato flour) was pretty okay, although not as good as Volcano. Aside from being a bit too packed-- they clearly haven't mastered the art of waiting areas and seating layout like Volcano-- wasn't bad. Although we were definitely the old farts in the crowd...
